Moorish style town house in a peaceful area of the middle Albayzin with a roof terrace, two interior balconies that catch the sunshine beautifully and a typically Andaluz cobblestone paved patio. The elegant house, with four bedrooms and three bathrooms, is laid out over two floors.
The house, completed in 2008 using only the best quality materials, was lovingly built by an architect specialising in Moorish architecture to embody all of the features of a Moorish nobleman's town house. No expense was spared. The elaborate wooden beamed ceilings, wooden features and finishings, exposed Moorish style bricks and the handmade clay floor tiles throughout are testament to this.
Once through the beautiful wooden door, one comes down the paved entrance and into the entrance hall. On the ground floor, there is an open plan dining room and equipped kitchen with Fajalauza tiles to the left. A spacious patio enjoys access through big double doors from three sides: the kitchen, the entrance hall and the outside bedroom. The patio is finished with the typical cobblestones designs from this area and in the corner is an aljibe (water source) which was discovered during archeological excavations. To the right of the entrance hall is a single bedroom, downstairs family bathroom with shower and, through a door leading out to the patio, a third bedroom. This bedroom is enormous and could definitely be used as a downstairs living area, games and entertainment room or work space.
Stairs in the entrance hall lead up to the first floor. Off to the left is the living room with big wooden doors leading out to a sunny balcony which overlooks the courtyard below and looks over towards the other balcony in front. Back to the stairs, a passageway leads off to the right passed the stairs to the upstairs family bathroom with shower/bath. Further down the passageway to the right is the master bedroom with ensuite bathroom with shower and, to the left, through a door, is the second balcony. A door leads through to the fourth, very spacious bedroom. This room has a lovely window and desk from which a partial view of the Alhambra can be seen as well as stairs that lead up to the roof terrace above. The roof terrace has a partial view of the Alhambra as well as the Sierra Nevada and the Albayzin neighbourhood.
All four bedrooms have built-in wardrobes that have been designed and made specifically for the house. There are fitted electric radiators in all four bedrooms as well as in the living room and kitchen. All of the windows are double-glazed.
Furniture negotiable.
